Salman Khan may have made several appearances on Kapil Sharma’s comedy variety show, which airs on Sony TV, but the latest one was special for a different reason. The 53-year-old actor was accompanied by not only his brothers—Arbaaz and Sohail—but also their father, the legendary screenwriter Salim Khan. And the Khan patriarch held centerstage with tales from his youth and early days in Maximum City.
One member of the Khan-daan figured prominently in the conversation. Gangaram, who, according to Khan Sr, had come into the household with Salma Khan “as a part of her dahej (dowry), is much-loved within the family and the three brothers call him ‘Mamaram’. “Salim saab recalled that he once raised his voice at Gangaram, and his wife didn’t talk to him for almost six months,” revealed a source from the show’s set.
Salman chimed in, saying that his Mamaram is “like an alien” as his face is always devoid of expression. In the end, Mamaram made an appearance on the show and to everyone’s surprise, he didn’t know who Kapil Sharma was. How’s that for comedy…
