Sunny Deol is busy wrapping up his upcoming directorial, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which marks his elder son Karan’s big screen debut. On Thursday, the father-son duo was spotted in a jetty as they headed to Madh Island to shoot for the final leg of their home production. “Sunny prefers to take the jetty over being stuck in Mumbai traffic,” said a source close to the development. The film’s team has been shooting quietly in and around Mumbai since the last few days, including a one-day schedule in Juhu during which they canned a conversational sequence on Wednesday.

Apart from the Deols, the film’s leading lady, Saher Bamba, is also a part of the month-long schedule in Madh. “It’s primarily an indoor shoot,” the source informed.

Most of the film, which revolves around a contemporary love story predominantly set in Manali, was shot in the resort town most of last year in sub-zero temperatures. “Most days, the shoot commenced early in the morning. It was a difficult schedule as some sequences were shot at very high altitude amid extreme weather conditions. Besides Manali and Mumbai, a brief portion of the film is set in Delhi,” the source said.

Incidentally, the film borrows its title from the lilting Kishore Kumar melody by the same name that was picturised on Dharmendra in the 1973 thriller, Blackmail. Shimla girl Sahher, who makes her debut alongside Karan with the film, was roped in following auditions in the city.
