While shooting for the film Batla House in Mussoorie, the cast and crew were in for a pleasant surprise when it started to snow on the second day of their shoot there.
“The shoot was of three days, one day for a song and the other two for action sequences. Pehle din toh sab theek raha, but on the second day it started snowing,” informs Aroon Singh Dicky, the line producer, adding, “We were all taken by surprise, but the Mumbai crew was very excited seeing the snow. Initially, plans did go awry due to the unexpected snowfall, but soon, we all had everything sorted out.”
The hill station was abuzz with news of John Abraham shooting there at popular spots, including at the Mall Road, where a romantic song with him and lead actress Mrunal Thakur was canned. The Satyamev Jayate actor also clicked pictures with the locals in the hill station, including some policemen. Incidentally, John is playing a cop in the film.
Meanwhile, for actress Mrunal, this was her first time in Mussoorie. It was also the first time that the Kumkum Bhagya actress experienced a snow fall! “It was my first time in Mussoorie and what a gorgeous place! I fell in love with the mountains and got lucky with the snowfall. My visit to Mussoorie will always be special as firstly, I was shooting for Batla House, a very special film for me and secondly, the snowfall. I encountered it for the first time in my life. I absolutely loved the cable car ride and I wish that I get to visit Mussoorie soon for vacation, not to forget have the hot chai and noodles again.”
The crew wrapped up their Mussoorie shoot on Monday. After shooting in Lucknow and now in Mussorie, the rest of the film will be shot in Mumbai.
