Sunil Grover, who is all set to return to TV with Kanpur Wale Khuranas, shot for the promo of his upcoming weekend show yesterday. While it is slated to go on air mid-December, the first celebrity guests will be the newly-married Ranveer Singh and director Rohit Shetty. The duo will be visiting the sets to promote their upcoming film Simmba. This is likely to be Ranveer’s first shoot and TV appearance after his wedding to Deepika Padukone, says a source.

“The show is a round-up of the year 2018 and Ranveer has been the top newsmaker. His Padmaavat was a blockbuster and his marriage to Deepika was the biggest talking point of the year. Also, the first episode will highlight the new combinations of 2018, which makes it ideal for the Gen Y star to join Rohit with whom he is collaborating for the first time in Simmba. While they will open the show, the second episode will see Sara Ali Khan and Karan Johar along with Ranveer and Rohit,” says an insider.

The episode is slated to be shot in the first week of December, as by then the actor will be free after his wedding receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
