There were an insane 11 new Hindi releases on Friday and were generally films which no one will have heard off and therefore the audience which go to watch is also hardly there. Obviously these makers saw an open week and made a beeline for it in the hope they will get theaters.

With these films, there have been 185 Hindi releases (not including dubbed films) this year with two thirds of the films being unknown. There are two months to go and thankfully the release count will probably be less than last year when 245 Hindi films released.

The list of the 11 film is below and the only film to go over 1 crore nett for the weekend was LUPT where maybe the horror factor bought in some people. The film collected around 1-1.10 crore nett. The next best was EKKEES TAREEKH SHUBH MUHURAT which picked up around 40 lakhs nett. JACK & DIL was 30 lakhs nett apprx with all the others being under 25 lakhs nett.
