Actor-couple’s Chitrapur Saraswat-style wedding took place in a villa at Lake Como in Italy

Mirror had reported earlier that after the engagement on Monday, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had mehendi and sangeet ceremonies on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, November 14, the actor-couple tied the knot in a traditional Chitrapur Saraswat-style ceremony. The guests arrived in boats at around 7 am at the lake-front villa in Como, Italy, half a kilometre from George Clooney’s property which is also located within the premises.

The traditional wedding ceremony started at around 8 am and continued till 1.30 am. The bride wore a red and gold lehenga by Sabyasachi, who was also among the guests, while the groom was in a white dhoti-kurta. Several guests opted for white too. The shaadi was followed by a luncheon with guests returning to their rooms only after 5 pm. Ranveer and Deepika will wed again in an Anand Karaj ceremony today. It will start at around 8.30 am with a baraat. The venue for the second wedding is the same villa, which is spread over 10 acres.
