Grass is a Korean film by Sang-soo Hong and is just 66 minutes long. It is based on an interesting idea of a café patron observing other customers and getting inspired to write after listening to their conversations and stories. There’s also a track of her own life and the relationship with her brother. This film that’s around an hour long seems like 2 hours. The way Sang-soo has shot this film is interesting and he has used fixed kind of framing. Also, there are no extras despite the film being shot in a city alley. But the content is not exciting. Some conversations are interesting but some aren’t and that takes away the charm. Average fare!
