Shraddha Kapoor’s mother Shivani hails from a Maharashtrian family and the actress celebrates Ganeshotsav with her aunts, cousins, parents and brother every year. In the past, she has also taken to her social media handles and posted pictures of her dressed in the traditional Maharashtrian paithani sari and nose ring.

Ask her about celebrating this festival at home and she reveals, “Ganesh Chaturthi is my favourite time of the year because I get to meet my entire family. Our relatives come from Dahisar and Panvel, and I get to meet many people from my extended family who I may not have met before. We welcome Lord Ganesha at home with the aartiand he stays for one-and-a half days. The revelry at home is a sight to behold. I have to keep counting the number of modaks I eat because I can’t stop stuffing my face! (laughs!).”
