For Varun Dhawan, who had made his first appearance on Amitabh Bachchan’s gameshow, Kaun Banega Crorepati, in 2012 in the run-up to his acting debut, Student Of The Year, life on the telly has come a full circle.

The 31-year-old actor recently returned to the show to play for social worker Sudha Varghese, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Nari Gunjan, a not-for-profit organisation that provides education, literacy, vocational training, healthcare, advocacy and life skills to Dalit girls and women in Bihar.

A source from the sets reveals, “Varun and the Big B showcased great repartee during the show, where the host jokingly rued that he had to tweet late at night as he worked long hours thanks to the show. Meanwhile, Varun utilised one of the commercial breaks to floor his female fans on the set by sharing his snack with them and posing for selfies.”

“It felt amazing to be on the show and sit in front of a legend. Sudhaji is a kind woman who has devoted her life to the cause. I gave my shot on the show to help her with funding for her organisation,” Varun said, adding that he was nervous at the beginning of the show. “I was scared that I wouldn’t get the answers but luckily I did, and I hope I made my parents proud.”
