SATYAMEVA JAYATE saw a very mediocre second weekend as it collected just 6.50 crore nett to take its total to around 72.50 crore nett. The collections were poor on Friday and Saturday but Raksha Bandhan gave it a boost on Sunday.

The film has ran out of steam pretty quickly and will not be adding much more business from here on but the initial week business ensured a HIT film. It managed to lead GOLD in second weekend also in places like Bihar, CP Berar and CI but collections in Delhi NCR, East Punjab, Mumbai and Bangalore were far less than GOLD.

SATYAMEVA JAYATE will finish in the 80 crore nett range and a share in the 40 crore range which is a big result for the film especially considering that it clashed with GOLD which was a bigger film. The clash has worked out well for the film as it managed to get a big first day audience which was a huge surprise. It was not a surprise that it managed to collect on the national holiday but how much it collected was surprise for sure.
