With the digital space opening up avenues for filmmakers as well as actors, several artistes are jumping on the bandwagon. Now, apparently, Karisma Kapoor is all set to make her big debut on an OTT platform.

THE COMEBACK
Last time we had met the Biwi No 1 heroine, she had told us, “I am happy being a mother. I’m not closed to the idea of acting again, but unless there’s something that really touches my heart, I won’t take anything up.” It seems Lolo has finally found the project she was looking for. A source tells us, “Karisma has signed a deal with Ekta Kapoor’s Alt Balaji. She is doing a web series for them. They have locked the script and dates, but everything is being kept under wraps till the big announcement.” The actress was last seen on the silver screen in Dangerous Ishhq (2012).

After her comeback venture flopped, she hasn’t taken up any other films. We texted and called Karisma, but there was no response till the time of going to press.

FAMILY CONVINCED LOLO
As the digital series will be bankrolled by Ekta, who’s a close friend of the Kapoor khandaan (she also produced Veere Di Wedding, which starred Karisma’s sister Kareena Kapoor Khan), reportedly it didn’t take too much convincing to get Lolo on board.

“Kareena and Ekta are quite close to each other. Plus, her brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan also enjoyed his digital experience, so he and Bebo asked Karisma to hear the script. She agreed to do that. She liked the story and realised that the web is a burgeoning space, so she decided to give it a shot,” says the source.
