John Abraham kickstarted the year by unveiling his home production, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, which had kept him busy for the last two years, before jumping into Robbie Grewal’s espionage thriller RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter, in which he plays a secret agent who sports 18 different looks and travels across 80 locations while on a mission. After Mumbai and Gujarat, the film went to Kashmir and John has just returned from the Valley after a smooth shoot. He will start Nikkhil Advani’s Batla House in September, in which he plays cop Sanjeev Kumar Yadav. If that’s not enough, Mirror has now learnt that the super busy actor has given his nod to Anees Bazmee’s next. Pagalpanti will be produced by Kumar Mangat and his son Abhishek Pathak.
“John heard the script and really liked it. It’s a comedy revolving around two actors and is expected to roll in January. Anees has already begun work on the prep. Meanwhile, hunt for the other male lead is on,” informs a source close to the development.
The producer’s spokesperson confirmed the news. John has earlier worked with Anees in the 2015 action-comedy Welcome Back, also featuring Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Shruti Haasan and Dimple Kapadia.
