Mirror had earlier reported (August 14) that the team of Robbie Grewal’s RAW: Romeo Akbar Walter, that kicked off the espionage-thriller’s 10-day third schedule on August 16, has been given tight security by the state police given the restive situation in the Valley.

Now, we hear John Abraham, who plays a RAW agent in the film to Jackie Shroff’s head of the intelligence agency, has acquired quite the fan following among the personnel. Besides posing for pictures with the CRPF jawans, the 45-year-old actor filmmaker interacted with them during breaks in shooting. “John has been the humblest among all the film stars we have worked with in Kashmir. He is always smiling with us,” said one of the guards. John and Jackie have been shooting for long hours at a hotel situated on the banks of Dal Lake since Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the actor, who sports 18 looks in the film, seems to be enjoying his time in the Valley. According to the film’s production head, Chetan Handoo, he went for dinner to a high-end restaurant in Srinagar after wrapping up the shoot earlier this week.

“The Kashmir schedule is slated to wrap up this evening, after which the team will head back to Mumbai for the fourth schedule,” he informed. Previously, the team had shot in Gujarat, where Pakistan was recreated for the film.
