Manish Malhotra gets into the national holiday zone with a house party for his A-list friends

On Tuesday, many Alisters flocked to Manish Malhotra’s suburban residence to attend a party celebrating the next day’s national holiday, August 15, with music, food and lots of chatter. For some, the bash doubled up as a reunion with friends they hadn’t seen in a while. “Sometimes, to get over long days of work and stress, it’s nice to catch up with friends and have a good time,” the host reflected as he posed for a picture with with his “two favourites,” Priyanka Chopra and Karan Johar.

Manish is working with the new crop of stars now, including Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, and was happy to have them all under one roof. The party also brought together Dhadak co-stars Ishaan Khatter-Janhvi, and Vicky Kaushal-Kiara Advani, who’ve featured in KJo’s anthology film. A guest was all praise for the Indian and continental spread, followed by gluten-free chocolate cake and a raspberry vegan cake.

Meanwhile, PeeCee’s finger, bearing what is widely rumoured to be an engagement ring from beau Nick Jonas, stood out. Later in the night, the 36-yearold actress inadvertently put it on further display while posing for a selfie with Raveena Tandon with their “pouts in order”. The revellers grooved to “Nakhra Tera Ni” and “Wakhra Swag”, while Bhumi Pednekar and Anushka Ranjan had their fan-girl moment with Priyanka. Neha Dhupia fanned pregnancy rumours with her loose-fitting maxi.

“Sara and Ananya hung out, while the latter’s Student of the Year 2 crew, including Tiger Shroff, stuck together. Kajol made an early exit,” the source concluded
