Sonakshi Sinha, who plays the titular part in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, had to pull off a tough scene while shooting for the ‘run-com’.

Says a source, “The film, much like the first part (Happy Bhag Jayegi, which released in 2016), is about how the characters escape from a situation. Here, Sonakshi is the runaway girl and for a particular scene, she needed to drive a truck, which isn’t an easy task. Director Mudassar Aziz wasn’t sure if the actress would be able to pull it off because the heavy vehicle was not even on power steering. But she learnt it within a few days.” From then, there was no looking back. Our source adds, “After that, Sonakshi drove the truck for almost 25-30 kilometres.”

Talking about the scene, the Ittefaq heroine says, “Manoeuvering a truck is an entirely different ball game, so everyone on set was quite concerned. Luckily, I had learnt how to drive a manual SUV when I was 16, so I took that approach. That’s why even though the steering wheel was heavy and difficult to handle, I got the hang of it quickly and left everyone impressed.”
