Raksha Bandhan has always been special for Abhishek Bachchan, who values the time spent with sister Shweta, on this big day. This year, the plan could be a little different. The actor, currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film, Manmarziyaan, is expected to be in Amritsar today for a concert with the rest of the cast.

When asked how he plans to celebrate the festival, Abhishek says, “I will try and fly back to Mumbai to just get my rakhi tied. Shweta will be here and I want to spend some time with her, even if it’s for a brief spell in the day. I will have to head back to Amritsar where the rest of the team is stationed for the promotional concert in the evening. The focus is on work right now.” Over the last few years, Shweta Bachchan Nanda seems to have added dimensions to her personality. She’s now acknowledged as an entrepreneur, a writer who has also appeared in an ad film with her father, Amitabh Bachchan apart from being active on social media, like her brother and father.

Talking about his sister’s evolution from being a homebody to a celebrity over the last few years, Abhishek says, “I am happy for Shweta. Deep down, I knew she has this talent in her. She always wrote really well. When I was in college, I used to get my English essays written by her. She was fantastic with that. She was always exceptionally skilled and I am glad that she has found her footing.”
