Singer Lucky Ali responds to speculation over his health following his cryptic message on Twitter

Lucky Ali’s cryptic message on his Twitter handle on Thursday evening sent everyone into a tizzy. He wrote, “Dear Chemo…you should not be an option ever…” What followed were reactions that ranged from shock and disbelief to sorrow and anxiety — the latter more because two Bollywood celebrities are currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Three weeks ago, Sonali Bendre Behl was diagnosed with a high grade cancer. Earlier in the year, Irrfan came out in the open about being diagnosed with the disease at an advanced stage. While Sonali is undergoing treatment in the US, Irrfan is under medical supervision in London.
In the wake of this, Lucky Ali’s post raised an alarm on what could possibly have triggered it. However, when BT called him, Lucky told us, “I’m okay. I’m not suffering from cancer. I didn’t write that message to freak people out. I’m totally fine, sitting in the Himalayas. My friend died of the disease last week, he was undergoing chemotherapy and he really suffered.”
He added, “I know that my message has confused a lot of people and I am sorry for that. As I said, my friend went through the entire process of chemotherapy which was very painful, and he died. So, I think it’s not something one should do, it brings the cancer back — people regress…”
When BT spoke to Lucky about the Bollywood actors, Irrfan and Sonali Bendre Behl who are currently battling the disease, he said that he was unaware of them being diagnosed with the big C and said. “I think one should also consider ayurveda. I wish others fighting this disease also considers this option.”
