Actress-dancer Nora Fatehi is the latest entrant in the cast line-up of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Eid 2019 release, Bharat, which is headlined by Salman Khan and features Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles.

After guest turns in Satyameva Jayate, for which she recreated Sushmita Sen’s ’90s hit, “Dilbar,” and a fun track with Rajkummar Rao in the horror-comedy Stree, Nora will be seen in the role of a girl from Malta in Bharat.

Confirming the news, Ali (right) told Mirror, “Nora has a special character and contrary to speculation, it’s not an item number. Her role is important to the story and will see her share screen space with Salman and Sunil’s characters. She will be seen in the mid-’80s portion of the film.”

Meanwhile, a source associated with the film has revealed that the actress is expected to start shooting for her portions in August as part of the second schedule, after which the team will head to Abu Dhabi for another schedule.

Shooting for Bharat kicked off over the last weekend at Mumbai’s Filmistan Studio with a circus sequence set in the 1960s and featuring Salman and Disha as a daredevil stunt motorcyclist and a trapeze artist respectively. Priyanka, who has been flying in and out of the country ever since shooting for the film kicked off, and recently started work on another Indian production, The Sky Is Pink alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, will join the Bharat team in August, when she shoots with a Holi number with Salman.
