Vicky Kaushal who was last seen on the big screen opposite Alia Bhatt in Meghna Gulzar’s espionage-thriller Raazi, which was produced by Junglee Pictures and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, is all set to reunite with the filmmaker. Mirror has learnt that the actor is on board for KJo’s next production which will launch a new director, Bhanu Pratap Singh.
A source associated with the project reveals, “It’s a horror film, a genre Vicky has never attempted before. The film will also be the launchpad for Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan’s assistant Bhanu Pratap Singh who has worked with him on Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film goes on floors later this year in Mumbai.” Bhanu and Vicky have earlier teamed up for Mozez Singh’s Zubaan, on which the former was an assistant.
Meanwhile, the actor has also been busy prepping to kick off another film, based on the Uri Attacks of September 2016 in Kashmir, which was followed by a covert operation by the Indian Army 11 days later. The actor plays a Para Commando in the Special Forces and is flying to Serbia next week as part of his prep.
Actress Yami Gautam is cast opposite him in the Ronnie Screwvala production.
