Kangana Ranaut who left for London on Tuesday for the next schedule of
debutant director Prakash Kovelamudi’s Mental Hai Kya, in which she
reunites with her Queen co-star Rajkummar Rao, plays a voiceover artist
in the film. Raj, who will be flying to London today to join the cast
and crew at the shoot, plays an entrepreneur in the film.A source from the sets reveals, “Kangana has been putting in a lot of time to get her part right, focusing on the minute details and training with professionals. The team is currently in London to shoot the second schedule which will be filmed over the next 30-35 days. Besides some interesting scenes, Kangana and Rajkummar are also scheduled to shoot a fun song at major locations in London. The spots that have been finalised for the shoot from across Central London, include the London Tower Bridge, Oxford street and a Broadway theatre in the city.” The team had kicked off the film’s first schedule at a Mumbai studio in May before heading for the outdoor schedule.
Speaking about the Ekta Kapoor and Shaailesh R Singh production, Kangana had earlier told Mirror (March 5), “You’re never sure if this girl is hallucinating or what’s happening to her is for real, whether the guy (Rajkummar) is trying to trap her or she’s got him wrong.”
Also part of the cast are Amyra Dastur who plays Rajkummar’s love interest and Satish Kaushik as an officer investigating a case involving the protagonists.
Kangana has also been busy filming her period drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in Mumbai, while Rajkummar will next be seen in the horrorcomedy Stree alongside Shraddha Kapoor.
