Comedian Siddharth Sagar and TV actors Dheeraj Dhoopar, Tejaswwi Prakash join as contestants

The show Comedy Circus that debuted in 2007 and had its last season aired in 2013, is set to return by the month-end on Sony. Archana Puran Singh who had been a part of all the seasons will be back as a judge. “We start shooting on June 17. It’s like a homecoming… I don’t think I shed a tear when Comedy Circus closed down for a few years, but when I walk back on the sets I will be misty-eyed. It will be quite the nostalgia trip as I will be meeting old friends and colleagues. There is so much zeal behind the show,” Archana told Mirror.

Comedian Siddharth Sagar (above left), who recently grabbed headlines after being reported missing and subsequently resurfaced, accusing his family of ill-treating him, is also making a comeback with the show.

“This time, I’ve prepared myself well. It’s the love of my fans and support from the media that has brought me back. I will be performing with actress Karishma Sharma and comedian Mubeen. The rehearsals have begun, and I can’t wait to face the camera again,” he said.

Joining Sagar as a contestant is Dheeraj Dhoopar (left above), the lead actor of the popular daily soap Kundali Bhagya. Tejaswwi Prakash (below) who was last seen in Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya is also said to be on board.
