It’s not unusual for Bollywood actors to invest in business ventures. Quite a few of them have spa and wellness chains as well as restaurants. Now, we hear the Deols — Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby — who have a film production house, are also considering to make inroads into the hospitality industry. Their hotel is expected to come up on their 100-acre farmhouse in Lonavala, where the seniormost Deol spends a lot of his time.

When we caught up with Bobby Deol recently, who is basking in the success of his latest release, Race 3, the actor neither confirmed nor denied the rumour. “We have big plans for our farmhouse, but nothing is really concrete right now. Hopefully, in the future, we will develop it and get something out of it,” he said. And will that ‘something’ be a hotel? “We’re open to a lot of things, so let’s see what works out,” he said. Well, we do hope the Deols try their hand at hospitality. After all, Punjabis are known for their khaatirdaari!
