PARMANU has had an ordinary first day of 4.75 crore nett apprx though there was some improvement in the evening which should give growth on Saturday though this genre does not normally show huge 50-60% growth on Saturday. It could be a bit better than the usual trend here as multiplexes in some places are reasonable.

The film has scored over the big Marathi release BUCKET LIST which was the first Madhuri Dixit film in Marathi in Mumbai and Pune. Patriotic films are usually a bit slow in Mumbai and Pune so to score over a big local film is a plus for the film. The best circuit is Delhi/UP despite many centers being hit by Ramadan.

It remains to be seen where the film goes but its in a bit better situation than when it opened as then it looked like a 4 crore nett opening at best.

If we look at the recent John Abraham starrers then the collections are actually pretty as the figures of his recent starrers like FORCE 2 and ROCKY HANDSOME, both of which were action films and are similar with PARMANU, which probably has a better chance to grow over the weekend than those films.
