My housewarming party will go on for weeks-Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu recently moved into her suburban apartment and is planning several housewarming parties

Last year, Taapsee Pannu had marked her 30th birthday on August 1 with a
rare feat — the actress became a home owner in Mumbai with a
three-and-a-half- BHK apartment in Andheri. After a year of sprucing it
up with sister Shagun, the actress moved into the swanky property last
month with, among other belongings, three bags of artefacts from their
recent trip to Spain.
“We are almost done with the interiors and only a little touchup is left. I am happy with what we have done with it. Shagun was the one who did all the work as I was mostly busy — from the moment Judwaa 2 released, I have been out on back-to-back shooting schedules, beginning with Soorma to Mulk, Manmarziyaan and then my Telugu film Neevevaroo,” the actress told Mirror, adding that she didn’t hire an interior designer as she has complete faith in her sister’s aesthetics. “She set up the house with the help of a contractor who executed our suggestions.”
When asked what the theme was, Taapsee said, “It was very European and shabby-chic with a neat girly vibe to it. Everything in the house is white with pops of colour by way of doors and furniture.” The lights that she had picked up while holidaying in Koh Samui last April are finally up and so are the props and décor from Spain. “That trip was really helpful. We have a lot of gallery walls in the apartment, so we took small decor stuff for that space, including paintings, pictures and a wold map made out of a jute board, small quotation boards and a table top — some European-looking things which we would probably have to search far and wide to find here,” Taapsee added.
Her favourite corner in the house, however, is the coffee bar. “People usually make bars in their apartment, but I am a teetotaller. I love coffee so I ended up dedicating one corner of my living area to it. It has different types of coffee and an espresso machine,” she said.
House-warming follows next, which was kicked off on Wednesday with a small gettogether for the actress’s management team. “My housewarming party will go on for weeks as I am going to call different groups of friends at different times. I’ll call my parents around my birthday so that all four of us can spend some quality time together,” she added.
