Father-son duo Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan are planning two larger-than-life sequels to their superhit franchise, Krrish. The fourth and fifth instalments are expected to kick off in 2019. Buzz is, they will be shot and edited simultaneously with an international unit working on the stunts and special effects. Hrithik will be seen in a new avatar while continuing to play the superhero. While Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra were seen as the leading ladies of Koi… Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3 this time the plan is to introduce new actresses and baddies.

When contacted, Rakesh Roshan said shortly, “Scripting is still underway and it is too early to comment.” Reportedly a team of four-five writers is working on two stories simultaneously.

The original 2003 sci-fi drama had bagged the National Film Award for Best Film on Social Issues. It had gone on to win the Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor awards in all major categories, including Filmfare’s much coveted Black Lady.

Koi… Mil Gaya had spawned two sequels — Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013), along with a TV spin-off animation-live action series titled J Bole Toh Jadoo.
