Filmmaker Ashi Dua, who made her production debut with Bombay Talkies in 2013, is expecting her first child with husband Sunny Sara. The momto- be had a baby shower with close friends and family at a bungalow in Bandra on Sunday. The intimate party went on till late night.

A guest at the party told Mirror, “The baby is due in July and Ashi who has been busy with work commitments wanted to have a small celebration with her loved ones. For the occasion, she dressed in a chic pink outfit and was colour-coordinated with Sunny. The host couple ensured that the bash was fun with music and dance and the venue was decorated with balloons in various colours and festoons. Meanwhile, masseurs pampered the guests with a hand and foot massage by the poolside. The couple’s friends also enjoyed a dip in the pool as appetizers did the rounds. Later towards the night, the radiant mom-to-be cut a pink cake with a unicorn on top of it, as the guests got busy capturing pictures with the couple and ensured the event was memorable for them. The guests had also brought in baby pictures of their own and put them up on a board as everyone took a trip down memory lane.”

Meanwhile, Ashi is reportedly not taking a break from work at the moment and has already kicked off work on her new film but refused to divulge details of the project.

Besides Bombay Talkies, the filmmaker has also produced the Saif Ali Khan-starrer Kaalakaandi that released in January this year.

She was associate producer on last year’s The Ghazi Attack, a bi-lingual featuring Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu.
