Salman Khan, who had shot for Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan in the picturesque Pahalgam, is back in the Valley for his upcoming action-thriller Race 3 after three years. The 52-year-old actor arrived in Srinagar on Monday to shoot the last song in the multi-starrer with co-star Jacqueline Fernandez. After a pit-stop at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s residence — the meeting lasted an hour — he left for Sonmarg.

According to a source close to the development, they will be filming some portions of the song in the resort-town before leaving for Ladakh for the wrap. The J&K Police and Tourism departments have made special security arrangements at every location. “The team has procured all the required permissions from the Wildlife and Tourism department to shoot in Sonamarg and Ladakh and we are assisting them in every way. We want more films to be shot in the Valley,” a top tourism official told Mirror, adding that extra care is being taken for Salman as the actor has a large fan base in Kashmir. Besides the state police, he is accompanied everywhere by his personal security Shera.

Meanwhile, Mirror has also learnt that Salman was so happy with the hospitality extended by the chef and staff of the property he stayed in while filming Bajrangi Bhaijaan that he has summoned the same team to Sonamarg to join his personal chef from Mumbai on the set. Ramesh Taurani’s action thriller opens on Eid and also features Anil Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem.
