Hindi Medium takes Blockbuster opening in China; collects 24.05 cr on Day 1

HINDI MEDIUM is set to emerge a huge BLOCKBUSTER in China as it recorded a first day opening close to $4 million which is better than BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN which recorded $2.2 million. The film opened on around 18000 screens which is double of BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and the screenings are even more than double.
The Chinese distributors really took to the film which enabled it such a huge release which is the second highest ever for a Hindi film after SECRET SUPERSTAR. Next will be films like TOILET - EK PREM KATHA and HICHKI and the content will also have a chance especially the latter which is urban and female orientated.
