Arjun Kapoor will be cheering the Indian contingent at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Australia. The actor will spend April 7 and 8 at the Gold Coast. “Arjun is a sports buff and when he was invited by a frequent collaborator, he immediately agreed,” the actor’s spokesperson told Mirror.

The Games opens on April 4 and continues till April 15. India’s medal hopes include double Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar, Sakshi Malik, our first woman wrestler to win an Olympic bronze, former World No 1 badminton ace Saina Nehwal and present World No 3 P V Sindhu as well as five-time World Amateur boxing champ Mary Kom. Besides interacting with Indian and international athletes at the CWG village, Arjun will also attend an evening gala as well as a brunch with sports personalities. After Australia, Arjun will take off to London for the second schedule of Namastey England.

The 32-year-old-actor recently signed Ashutosh Gowariker’s period extravaganza, Panipat, which pits him opposite Sanjay Dutt in the battle royal. He has been filming 18 hours a day for Vipul Shah’s Namaste England with co-star Parineeti Chopra, in Patiala and Ludhiana, before returning to the Bay this weekend.
