Recently, the makers of Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW) announced that John Abraham will now play the lead role in their espionage thriller. Earlier, the film was supposed to have Sushant Singh Rajput, but he soon opted out, citing date issues. We also heard that the makers have reportedly agreed to pay the beefy actor a hefty Rs 11 crore.

Says a source, “John was apparently asking for Rs 12 crore, but the makers allegedly got him to lock the deal at around Rs 11 crore.” A trade source added, “How can someone pay John that much for a film? His last two solo movies — Force 2 and Rocky Handsome — came unstuck at the box office. Adding Rs 11 crore to the budget is absolutely ridiculous.” But a deal is a deal.
