Malaika Arora, 44, can give a 20-year-old a run for his money when it comes to fitness. The actor, host and fashion entrepreneur is set to add another feather to her cap by opening yoga centres in Mumbai. Called Diva Studios By Malaika Arora, they will cater only to women.

"I have been a yoga practitioner for five years. Initially, I used to do it for meditation, but it eventually became a part of my life. Yoga is taking the world over. You will find a yoga studio everywhere across the globe. My studios are for women of all ages. I want them to feel empowered, healthy and confident. We have workouts that will help improve mental stability, emotional quotient and physical fitness We want women to feel like divas."

After a flagship studio in Mumbai, she plans to move it to other cities. Calling the launch "a natural progression" and something she always wanted to do, Arora is busy charting out the workout programmes for people of various ages and finalising the interiors of the studios. "From the colours of the walls to stationary — I am involved in every aspect. I want to give my time and
energy to this. This is also a learning experience for me," she says.

While the studios will teach traditional yoga like ashtanga, hatha and vinyasa, there will also be a range of other workouts on offer. "We are chalking out programmes for people of various ages and body types. We will offer multiple combinations of exercises to help them achieve desired results. From individual to group classes, the sessions will be spread across a week, month and quarter. We plan to mix yoga with dance, aquatic or arial exercises," says Arora.
