Professionally, late actor Vinod Mehra’s son Rohan is looking forward to his Bollywood debut, Nikkhil Advani’s Baazaar, also featuring Saif Ali Khan, Chitrangda Singh and Radhika Apte. The debonair debutant also seems to be in a happier space on the personal front, having found a ‘good friend’ in actress Tara Sutaria, popular for her television show Oye Jassie. Buzz is, she is also one of the female leads in the Student of the Year sequel, which is to be headlined by Tiger Shroff.

“They have been together for more than a year now and love spending time with each other. Tara is very close to Rohan’s sister Soniya and the duo has even met each other’s families. They share a common interest in music too,” informs a source close to the couple who rang in the New Year together in Goa and brought in Tara’s birthday in November over a lunch with Soniya by their side. Soniya had posted a picture from the luncheon, referring to it as “family time”. Rohan too posted a picture with Tara captioning it, “Happy Birthday to my true happiness. The future is golden when Tara Sutaria is by your side.”

Tara has trained in classical ballet, modern dance and Latin American dance at the School of Classical Ballet and Western Dance, Royal Academy of Dance and the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing in UK. She has been a professional singer since the age of seven and has sung in operas and competitions.

Rohan grew up in Mombasa in Kenya and has a degree in econometrics and mathematics from the UK. He was on course to be an investment banker till his love for the arts wooed him away. He has assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali, dabbled in photography and has even done some ghost-writing.

When we reached out to Rohan he refused to speak on the subject of Tara.
