Praise continues to roll in for Richa Chadha, who played the boisterous Bholi Punjaban in Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017). A source tells mid-day that a city pub has named a cocktail after her character.
“The owners reached out to her. The drink, called Bholi Bhali Punjabi, fits the bill because they like to adapt to pop culture and Richa’s character from Fukrey has become popular among the youth.”
The drink is a concoction of whisky, litchi, cranberry and mint. It will be served to patrons from January 8. The owners had invited Chadha to launch the product, but given her packed schedule, she won’t be able to make it.
When contacted, Chadha tells mid-day, “I am happy that my character from Fukrey will make people happy. It’s a great idea. I’m flattered.”
