On Saturday night, Dangal and Secret Superstar actress, 17-year-old Zaira Wasim shared a disturbing in-flight experience on social media that left her teary-eyed. In an Instagram video, Zaira said that on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai, a “middle-aged man” sitting behind her tried to molest her by “brushing his feet repeatedly” against her back and neck while she was half-asleep. She first posted a picture of the man’s foot, which was on her seat, and then continued to explain what followed.She also said that she tried to record the incident, but couldn’t due to dim lights. The actress blamed the cabin crew for inaction too. “Slow claps for Vistara’s crew guys! Wonderful!” she wrote. After landing in Mumbai, she recorded a statement with the Mumbai Police on Sunday. The cops have reportedly registered an FIR under section 354 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) as she is a minor.

When we reached out to Zaira, her manager told BT, “The incident has left Zaira shocked and upset.She stood for her and every woman’s rights, even though the airline crew didn’t help. We look forward to some concrete action to be taken against the passenger and the crew. We want to leave it at that.”
