Three joint appearances in a fortnight by the former flames have set tongues wagging in Bollywood’s inner circles

Actress and former Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen, and her on-andoff boyfriend of four years, businessman Ritik Bhasin, who owns night clubs and a brand management agency in Mumbai, have been grabbing attention with reports of a reconciliation. The former flames, who were rumoured to have broken up in 2015-end, have been spotted at three private gatherings in the last fortnight and seem to be throwing caution to the wind as they pack on the PDA.

Last week, the couple arrived hand-in-hand for actress Sagarika Ghatge and cricketer Zaheer Khan’s star-studded reception at a SoBo five-star. Inside, they posed with different groups of people. However, Sushmita greeted the newlyweds alone, while her 37-year-old beau congratulated the bride separately. “The two posed for pictures separately but exited together in Sushmita’s car,” a source from the bash told Mirror. Two days later, Sush and Ritik were spotted enjoying a meal at an upscale SoBo restaurant.

On Tuesday, the duo partied the night away at a close friend’s private bash. “They arrived early and stayed for a while, happy in each other’s company, mingled with friends, and even shook a leg together,” the source added.

The duo had known each other for years but came out as a couple only in 2013, at the launch of a SoBo nightclub Ritik had acquired. The businessman is close friends will several Bollywood celebrities, including actors Arjun Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Angad Bedi and filmmaker-writer Samir Dattani, as well as cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan. At Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s reception last year, they twosome arrived and posed together, confirming their relationship. A month earlier, they had made it official with a joint appearance at Karim Morani’s birthday bash.

When Mirror reached out to Sushmita for a comment, her spokesperson shared via message, “Ms Sen sends all of you lots of love and says that if and when she is actually dating someone, she will definitely let everyone know. Until then, enjoy yourselves!”
