Govinda's resentment for David Dhawan and Salman Khan was made evident when he apparently pulled them up for not helping him during his time of need. However, the actor, it appears, would be willing to bury the hatchet, as news trickles in of him collaborating with Khan for a sequel of their 2007 comedy, Partner.
Sohail Khan is returning with part two, and has already registered two titles — Carry On Partner and Partner 2. “Previous plans of creating the sequel were dropped after the makers felt the story lacked heft. There were also reports of a fallout between Salman and Govinda. But that is a thing of the past now,” says the source.
Currently looking into the scripting of the sequel, Sohail is considering casting two young actors alongside Salman. Govinda, we hear, will play a prominent supporting role. While it was previously speculated that Govinda said he’d never work with Salman again, he tells mid-day otherwise. “Why will I not work with him? We don’t have any issues with each other.”
Sohail confirms that he has two titles registered for the film, but points out, “I’m not making the film right away.”
