Ali Abbas Zafar is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie Tiger Zinda Hai which marks the onscreen reunion of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif after five years. The movie is a sequel to the 2012 hit Ek Tha Tiger which was then helmed by Kabir Khan.
Recently, the filmmaker, who worked with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in Gunday revealed that he would like to make an out-and-out situational comedy with them as well as Varun Dhawan. Ali said, "I want to do a three-hero film with Ranveer, Arjun and Varun. It’s something that genuinely excites me. If I can write a script where the trio can come together, it will be great. All three of them are exceptionally talented and have great comic timing. I’m dying to do an out-and-out situational comedy with them which would be more contemporary, cooler, much like a boys’ film."
Ali also spoke about Ranveer and Arjun's hilarious reaction to his latest outing Tiger Zinda Hai. "Ranveer and Arjun’s reaction right now is that I used them to become famous and then I went to Salman Khan (laughs) and now I’m only working with him. They feel used and abused. They called me to say, ‘Baba you used us in Gunday, made us run on coal trains in the heat and now, you are going and shooting in international, exotic locations like Austria and Morocco with Salman. Why didn’t you take us there?’ That complaint is an ongoing one, I have to hear it almost every third day," Ali quipped.
Tiger Zinda Hai is slated to release on December 22, 2017.
