Follwing reports that Deepika Padukone may be replacing Priyanka Chopra in the next Don film, producer Ritesh Sidhwani has clarified that Deepika is not a part of the Don franchise.

Speaking on the sidelines of a party in the city recently, Sidhwani refused to divulge details on the franchise’s third instalment, saying, “We are working on that and very soon we will announce that also.”

Informing more about his future projects, Ritesh said: “Now we have produced a comedy and next up from us will be 3 Storeys which will be a completely different film that is scheduled to release in February.”

“Then we are coming up with Gold and (Zoya Akhtar’s Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer) Gully Boys so all these films are different in terms of genre and none of them are comedies, so I think people should follow what they believe in and the kind of stories they want to tell,” Ritesh added.

Meanwhile, Deepika, who made her Hollywood debut last year with XXX: Return of Xander Cage, which also features Vin Diesel and Ruby Rose, is set to return for its followup as confirmed by the director, D J Caruso.
