Salman Khan and his Kick co-star, Jacqueline Fernandez, raced into the first day shoot of their upcoming high-voltage franchise film with a pooja at a Bandra studio. The first power-packed shot of Race 3 had Remo D’Souza directing an action sequence featuring Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah.

“Even though they don’t start filming their portions until November 12, Salman and Jacky were there for the mahurat shot,” producer Ramesh Taurani told Mirror, adding that the first 25-day schedule in Mumbai will be all action and no romance. “The songs will be shot only in the next schedule.”

After Maximum City, the unit will take off to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in January 2018.

The original Race opened in 2008 with Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy caught in a web of passion and deceit.

The sequel brought back Saif, Anil and Bipasha in a passing appearance. John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel were the new additions to the cast. Both the films were directed by Abbas-Mustan.
