While fans have been waiting for them to take their relationship to the next level, rumours are rife that cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma are all set to tie the knot in the beginning of December. According to our sources, it will be a destination wedding.
Anushka and Virat met in 2013, when they shot together for a TV commercial. Their friendship graduated to love and soon the couple was spotted together on various occasions. Anushka has also been seen attending cricket matches to cheer for the Indian team. The two have always refrained from talking about their relationship. However, their affection for each other has been evident through their posts on social media.
There were reports that the two had split some time last year, but they got back together and since then have been going strong. Virat recently acknowledged Anushka’s role in his life on a TV show. He said, “Ever since the lady has come into my life, she has taught me a lot of things. I’ve become more sensible in the last four years, all because of her. She’s taught me how to be more patient and how to utilise the position you are in, to the fullest.” After the two did their first ad together four years ago, they recently shot for another one. Interestingly, the theme of this ad was a wedding. If Virat-Anushka’s December wedding news is true, this will be the third Bollywood-meets-cricket marriage in a year after Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech, who tied the knot in Goa and Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge, who will walk down the aisle on November 27.
Bombay Times contacted Virat’s manager Bunty Sajdeh, who told us, “I don’t know where this news is coming from.” When we spoke to Anushka’s spokesperson, she said, “There is no truth to this.”
