Actor plays an ‘important character with a twist’ in Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming action film which has Disha Patani as the lead

Manoj Bajpayee will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s action thriller, Baaghi 2, which features Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in the lead. He plays an important character with a twist. “Manoj really liked the script. He is also very fond of the casting director, Mukesh Chhabra, and director Ahmed Khan, who he has known since many years. Ahmed had choreographed him in Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya. He will start shooting for the film soon,” informs a source close to the development.

Tiger, had played the lead in the Sabbir Khan-directed 2016 original, Baaghi, opposite Shraddha Kapoor. Part 2 went on the floors on September 18 and wrapped up its first schedule late last month in Pune.

Mirror (Jul 14) had earlier reported that Baaghi 2 also marks the comeback of Prateik Babbar as the antagonist. Manoj and Prateik have previously shared screen space in Prakash Jha’s 2011 social-drama Aarakshan. Sajid’s spokesperson confirmed the news.
