A special number, aptly titled “Hum Nahi Sudhrenge”, was recently shot
for Rohit Shetty’s laugh riot, Golmaal Again, with the entire cast,
including Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kemmu, Arshad Warsi,
Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor grooving to the beats. It has been
choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and crooned by Armaan Malik. It was
filmed over two days at a Mumbai studio. Tabu, who plays a serious
character in the film, wasn’t a part of the promotional song.
According to a source the song has the actors complaining about how youngsters are always told what to do, their happiness and rights always encroached upon. “They are rarely allowed to speak their mind but they continue to do their own thing without caring about the consequences which is why it’s called Hum Nahi Sudhrenge,” adds the source.
It features different kinds of electronic music, starting with Progressive House and moving to Big Room and Carnival EDM with a hint of Future Bass which is really big in the West but hasn’t been used in Bollywood yet. Composer Amaal Mallik has also introduced musical instruments like Concert toms, Timpani and Taikos.
When contacted, Amaal Mallik confirmed the news saying, “I’d never expected a fun song like this to have such elements and am waiting for the audience’s reaction. Kumaar’s lyrics are great and I wanted the music to be rhythmically contrasting which is why I went into different sub genres of electronic dance music,” he adds that he is working with Rohit and Ajay for the first time.
