After Kareena Kapoor Khan flew down to Mumbai on Wednesday to ring in a quiet birthday with family and friends, now, it is her Veere Di Wedding co-star Sonam Kapoor’s turn to return to the city. While the actor was supposed to shoot the Delhi schedule of the Rhea Kapoor production in one go, she had to reconsider her plan after Rajkumar Hirani sent out an SOS to her.

A source from the unit informs, “Raju needed Sonam on the set of Dutt biopic to shoot an important sequence. Sonam had wrapped up her portions in the film, but this seems to be a last minute addition to the story.”

Kapoor, who admires Hirani and his brand of cinema, was happy to accommodate the unscheduled shoot, although it meant losing out on a day of Veere shoot. “She will fly down on Sunday morning, shoot for the day and leave on Monday.” She will be shooting the sequence with Ranbir Kapoor.

While in town, the actor might even make an appearance at a fashion awards gala.
