After his debut film, father Abbas and uncle Mustan-directed, Machine, developed mechanical failure, Mustafa Burmawala put his acting aspiration on hold and began writing a script. Over the weekend, he took to sorting out traffic snarls due of the ongoing Ganpati immersions near his office at Juhu beach.
On Saturday, the actor, along with his household helps, was spotted directing people to follow lane discipline after watching drivers on the said stretch come to a standstill as revellers danced on the road, leading to bottleneck jams.
“During Ganesh Chaturthi, it takes an hour or more just to cross this stretch sometimes. I’ve been stuck there in the past myself. The cops do a great job but I thought as a conscious citizen, I should do everything in my capacity to ease up the traffic. I went out and urged those celebrating on the road to move to the side so that the cars could pass from the second lane,” said Mustafa. Let’s hope playing citizen cop gives direction to his career too!
