One Fine Night is a short film by Vishal Srivastava which was released on YouTube on August 18, 2017 by ‘Monk Creations’ channel. The 12 minutes 29 seconds long film talks about a mysterious person calling a sex worker to his place and what happens next. The film looks rich despite being the limited resources. The dialogues are simple but interesting and keep you engaged. At one point, it seems needlessly stretched but the finale has an unexpected twist. The dialogues that previous seemed unnecessary begin to make sense once the twist is unveiled. However, the twist is also quite subtle and not in-your-face types. That works in a way but at the same time, it can be bewildering for some. Thank God for the comments section where some people wrote the correct interpretation of the ending and thankfully it matched mine! Performance-wise, Yogendra Vikram Singh is a natural as expected. I have been fortunate to have seen quite a few of his work and he always excels! Hima Singh is a great talent and gives a bravura performance. As of August 27, 2016, the short film has crossed 31 lakh views which is really commendable. To watch this well-made short film, click here: https://youtu.be/18INexN1bVY
