(Crisp) Movie Review: A GENTLEMAN by FENIL SETA

A Gentleman bears the traditional stamp of director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. Hence, expect the humour to be on the lines of 99, Shor In The City and Go Goa Gone. The suspense that’s unveiled minutes before the intermission is quite a shocker and is bound to give a jolt to the majority of the viewers. But the second half is routine and lengthy; it takes away the greatness of the first half. If only the second hour was as interesting as the first, A Gentleman would have been a classic. Sidharth Malhotra as always is quite dashing and delivers a superb performance. He has it in him to be the action star. Jacqueline Fernandez delivers her hottest performance till date. Suniel Shetty is wasted and it’s sad since his character seemed interesting. Darshan Kumaar however is too good as the baddie. Hussain Dalal and Amit Mistry are hilarious. All in all, A Gentleman is a timepass entertainer!
My rating - *** out of 5!
