Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who has helmed films like 'Action Replayy', 'Aankhen' and 'Waqt', is all set to return to the director's chair. His next, 'Namastey Canada', pairs Arjun Kapoor with Parineeti Chopra, making this their second outing together after their debut, 'Ishaqzaade'. While the title sounds like the sequel to Vipul's 2007-directorial 'Namastey London', this film has a fresh plot and no connection with the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif-starrer.

The filmmaker, who has also produced movies like 'Singh is Kinng' and 'Holiday', says, "I want to set the record straight. 'Namastey Canada' is not a sequel to 'Namastey London'. I thank Akshay for standing by me and being graceful about sharing the title with me. I'm also happy that Arjun and Parineeti agreed to join me on this journey. I hope this film becomes one of their best outings together."

Arjun, who has teamed up with Vipul for the first time, says, "I'm excited to be a part of this project. After working with giants like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, he has chosen me. 'Namastey Canada' has heart and humour, making it a family entertainer."

Parineeti beams, "This is exactly the film I was looking for! It's a desi story with a videshi heart. I'm excited to be directed by Vipul sir with who I have shared an amazing friendship over the last few years."
