Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput and their baby girl, Misha, who turns one on August 26, have taken off on a three-day American holiday along the East Coast, exploring New York and nearby hot spots.

This is Misha’s first international trip. Shahid, who returns to Mumbai on Friday, will resume filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming period-drama, Padmavati, immediately over the weekend so, for the moment, the actor is enjoying some much-needed family time.

“Shahid and Mira have already explored Central Park and Times Square and also took a yacht ride around the Statue of Liberty. The couple have also been on a shopping spree, enjoying their time at chic boutiques as well as luxury departmental stores. The celebrity tourists have put their diets on hold to binge on all the vegetarian fare New York City has to offer. Over the next two days, the family of three plans to explore Bear Mountain and Asbury Park as well,” a source close to the actor told Mirror.

The source added that Shahid has kept his plans to take his daughter to Disneyland in California on hold for the moment. He hopes to revisit the US when Misha is a little older so she can enjoy the adventure rides and theme parks. “On this brief holiday, the father-daughter duo is making boomerang videos and enjoying some sugar rush with lots of waffles, cupcakes, fruits and chocolates. They are also going to be spending an entire day at the city’s largest toy store,” the source added.
