SUPER SINGH (Punjabi) showed growth of around 12% on Saturday which is good for a Punjabi film as they are normally flat on Saturday or even down but the problem is the big match India v Pak match on Sunday. The Saturday growth means that the film would be looking at a 25-30% jump on Sunday but with the match that would be an impossible task. The film scored very well in Delhi city on the second day and the big centres of Punjab were also good but some of the smaller centres are doing 40-45% occupancy which is good if it was a Hindi film but just average for Punjabi film. The all India business for the first two days are as follows.
Friday - 1,80,00,000
Saturday - 2,00,00,000
TOTAL - 3,80,00,000

Due to the match on Sunday it will be the Monday business that will be crucial and if it holds the film can have a good run even with TUBELIGHT coming in second week as it will get a 4-5 shows at the main multiplexes.
--------------------------
SUPER SINGH (Punjabi) had a good weekend grossing around 5.75 crore nett. The film would have shown good growth on Sunday if it was not for the Ind v Pak cricket match. The film dropped just 5% on Sunday when the general trend of all other films was 20-25%. The collections in East Punjab on Sunday were practically flat with most of the drop coming in other regions. The film has not got a blockbuster weekend but its still a good weekend especially considering the start it had and the match on Sunday. The all India business for the first weekend is as follows.
Friday - 1,80,00,000
Saturday - 2,00,00,000
Sunday - 1,90,00,000
TOTAL - 5,70,00,000

The opening of the film is the fourth highest ever at an all India level after SARDAARJI 2 2 (7.78 crore nett), SARDAARJI (7.13 crore nett) and MANJHE BISTRE (6.16 crore nett). If there was no match and if the film got 25% growth on Sunday then it would have added 60 lakhs and been in third place and the biggest weekend of the year. Even just 20% growth and it would have got into the top three of all time.
--------------------------
SUPER SINGH (Punjabi) held well on Monday with a drop of under 40% from Friday. The film grossed 1.10 crore nett and  has taken its for day total to 6.80 crore nett. The week will finish up at 9.50 crore nett apprx which is good. Then it will compete with TUBELIGHT but should be able to hold out one screen in most multiplexes of Punjab. The film grossed 79 lakhs nett in East Punjab from 1.35 crore nett on Friday while Delhi/UP was 24 lakhs against the 30 lakhs nett on Monday. Both of the main markets have good holds on Monday with Delhi/UP dropping just 20%. The all India business for the first four days is as follows.
Friday - 1,80,00,000
Saturday - 2,00,00,000
Sunday - 1,90,00,000
Monday - 1,10,00,000
TOTAL - 6,80,00,000

The film will be among the top ten Punjabi films in the first week and could get into top five in its whole run depending on what happens when TUBELIGHT releases. The two biggest films SARDAARJI and CHAAR SAHIBZAADE did over 20 crore nett but that is looks an impossible task for SUPER SINGH.
