Adman Ravi Udyawar’s Hindi film debut, Mom, marks his leading lady Sridevi’s comeback to films after the 2012 hit dramedy English Vinglish which, incidentally, was the directorial debut of another ad maker, Gauri Shinde.
Now, we hear the upcoming thriller is also Sridevi’s 300th film. And to mark the milestone, a Chennai-based sari seller and superfan of the actress has introduced an eponymous series of sarees inspired by some of her greatest celluloid hits and available in four colours.
There’s the blue chiffon from Mr India’s sensuous rain sequence, “Kaate Nahi Katate” , the yellow sari from the title track in Chandni, the understated maroon in nine yards from English Vinglish and the pristine white from the 1991 romance-drama, Lamhe.
